Submission Types & Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit high-quality contributions reporting research, projects and recent developments. Submissions should align with the conference theme and tracks. You are welcome to choose the submission type that best fits your topic and preferred presentation format.
Please indicate your chosen track, submission type and preferred language when submitting your abstract (max. 200 words). Both German and English contributions will be accepted. Below are the submission types and guidelines:
Your contribution: Hold a keynote lecture as part of the plenary session.
Format procedure: Keynote lectures typically last 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. The keynote should offer in-depth insights, inspiring ideas, and thought-provoking perspectives on the conference theme.
Goal: to inspire and provide insights on structural and strategic development
Your contribution: Prepare a short presentation with a concrete core message. This message can be based on data-supported experiences or theoretical models.
Format procedure: Lightning talks are informative and presented consecutively. Each 7-minute talk is followed by a 3-minute Q&A session. These sessions are scheduled directly before a conference break to promote networking.
Goal: to present innovative strategies and specific implementation approaches
Your contribution: Prepare a presentation addressing data- or theory-based practically relevant results.
Format procedure: A presentation lasts up to 30 minutes in total (20 minutes for the presentation + 10 minutes for questions). Several presentations are grouped in sessions and moderated to relate to each other.
Goal: to present and discuss practically relevant findings
Your contribution: Develop a participant-oriented workshop with a clear learning goal. A workshop lasts 45 to 90 minutes and is designed for a group size of no more than 15 attendees.
Format procedure: Following a short introductory talk by the workshop leader, participants work on pre-defined questions based on their professional contexts, resources, and competencies. A reflection phase at the end allows participants to review their learning outcomes.
Goal: to promote practical skills and collaborative problem-solving
Your contribution: Design a poster or artefact and prepare a short presentation for a station in the poster and project session.
Format procedure: Each presenter will give a short presentation (2 minutes) to introduce their project. Following the introductions, participants can move freely around the room, engaging in detailed discussions with the stations that interest them most.
Goal: to facilitate intensive discussions and exchange on specific projects and research findings.
Acceptance Criteria
Decisions on acceptance will be based on the following criteria:
- Originality
- Innovation
- Quality of scholarship
- Contribution of new knowledge
- Alignment to the conference theme
Notification of Acceptance
Decisions will be communicated by December 6, 2024. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit full papers or research-based comments by January 31, 2025, for inclusion in the digital conference proceedings. Full paper or research-based comment submissions are optional. Detailed guidelines will be provided upon acceptance.
